The last night of fencing for 2021 will be on Monday December 13th, as the gym floor is being refinished. We will return in the New Year on Monday January 10th, 2022!

Share Article → As per the Ontario government mandate, we will require that all fencers aged 18+ and spectators aged 12+ provide proof of vaccination beginning September 22nd, or they will not be allowed into the gym.

Please do not email us a copy of your vaccine receipt. We will verify it when you arrive.
Share Article → We will be closed on September 6th, 13th, and 20th (all Mondays) for Labour Day and because the gym is being used for election polling. We don't expect any disruption to our Wednesday classes.
For new fencers:
We have received an overwhelming number of registrations and questions, and hopefully have responded to them all. If you have registered and haven't received an email (sent yesterday with subject: Intro Fencing Class Excelsior Fencing), please check your spam folders. If you still don't see it, please reach out to us through the contact form on the website.
Due to the above mentioned closures, our intro class will be beginning on Wednesday September 15th. Doors open at roughly 6:15, and classes will start at 6:30.
If you haven't registered yet, unfortunately due to covid space restrictions, we do not have capacity to safely handle additional members at this time. If you wish for us to contact you if space becomes available, feel free to message us through our website.

The coaches are all fully vaccinated. We strongly encourage all eligible people to get vaccinated.
- Bring water! There is no water fountain available at the gym.
- Masks are required! Please bring extra masks, as you will likely sweat and want to change masks.
- Risk evaluation and sign-in/sign-out protocols must be observed.
- Sanitizing stations will be provided.
For returning fencers:
We are all rusty, and will be easing into it slowly. Due to capacity restrictions and space requirements, we will be limiting our classes in August to a maximum of 14 fencers, and we hope to be able to increase this limit in September.
Walk-in fencers will not be accepted. To keep within the limit of 14 people, please send an email to callum[at]excelsiorfencing.ca to register with your name, weapon, and availability (Mondays/Wednesdays/both), and you will receive further information on attending class. All registrations received on or before August 1st will recieve equal priority in scheduling, and the schedule will be distributed on August 2nd. Registrations received after August 1st will be scheduled if space permits.
For new fencers:
We will not be accepting new members in August.
Our first intro to fencing program will tentatively begin on Monday September 13th. More information will be posted near the end of August.
